Breakthrough Discovered in Huntington’s Disease
It has been reported that the causer of the neurodegenerative disease Huntington’s has been corrected for the first ever time.
This has been achieved after an experimental drug, injected into spinal fluid, safely lowered levels of toxic proteins in the brain, writes the BBC. The research, carried out by a team at University College London, believes that this breakthrough has provided new hope that the disease can be stopped.
