Putting People at the Heart of Research
Back in March, I was kindly invited to take part in a meeting organised by MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences (LMS). The meeting brought together heart disease patients and researchers, to better understand the relationship between the two. It was a fascinating experience, with both sides showing a great willingness to work with each other. What was most startling was the how the most overlooked things can have a huge impact on patients – particularly the language used. The main findings of the meeting were captured in visual meetings, which can be found here along with a summary of the discussion.
