The Overground is highlighted in orange on the Tube map. The DLR (the best way to access the ExCeL) can be connected from multiple Overground lines such as Stratford, Canada Water, and Shadwell. It’s also possible to join the Overground and travel to ExCeL London from Euston station.

The Docklands Light Railway (known as the DLR) is part of the London Underground network. DLR run 12 trains an hour to Beckton. ExCeL London is located in Zone 3 and trains pull up at a covered walkway leaving visitors with less than a two minute walk to the entrance. Alight at Prince Regent for the east entrance where the Festival is located.

Onsite

The Exhibition

As with any of our festivals the latest science and innovation made available to you, whether it be through speaker sessions, or the exhibitors themselves, is top notch. This year we are presenting you with the following four themes: drug development, genomics in the clinic, enabling data, and CRISPR. We have gathered together some of the most influential people within the field to talk to you about just these, whether it be Anna Middleton from Wellcome Campus, or Sir Malcolm Grant from the NHS, there is no doubt that you will leave day two with a new found knowledge after hearing from our speakers.

Pipette Wars

Fancy a challenge? Then this is the perfect time to get involved in the pipette wars competition, testing just how quickly you can pipette. Sponsored by Eppendorf, with their epMotion 5050, there are plenty of prizes up for grabs and it’s sure to be a highlight of the festival.
